This Reinforced Soil wall system has precast RCC panel weighing around 1.1 tons forming the facing with geogrid soil reinforcement. Ideal for locations where soils to be used as backfill have a relatively lower frictional properties and the project owner desires specific architectural look.
A very versatile and an easy to install Reinforced Soil wall. The facing units are dry-cast plain cement concrete units of about 35 kg each which can be handled by humans easily. The wall batter is set into the facing unit. The coverage of soil reinforcement is 100% of the plan area and hence is ideal when soils have relatively lower frictional properties.
A relatively expensive system, this Reinforced Soil wall system has precast RCC panel similar to the system with geogrid soil reinforcement. The soil reinforcement is in form of galvanized steel strips thus are ideal for locations where soils to be used as backfill have a relatively higher frictional properties.
A Reinforced Soil wall which has a similar facing of RCC but uses a polymeric strip. This system has the advantages of both the earlier given systems and the soil reinforcement is a polymeric strip. Needs good frictional soil as reinforced backfill and in these conditions is the most economic of the three.
